Music Magazine Mock-Up Progress

I have started to create my mock-up of my music magazine cover on InDesign, i have marked out where i will be putting all of the different elements of my music magazine as i am only in the beginning stages of creating it. Here is a screen shot of what my magazine currently looks like.

Introduction To Indesign

To create our music magazines we will be using a programme called InDesign which is a fairly new programme to use. I first made a mock cover to get a feel of all the tools that I could use in InDesign, this is what I came up with while fiddling around with the tools.

This will help towards when I make my mock up cover before I make my final music magazine. To help with InDesign I have found an introductory video to InDesign to help get used to the programme and to improve your skills at creating magazine layouts.

Questionnaire Analysis

I had created a questionnaire to help me in my research on who to target in my music magazine, I had asked several people to complete It and these are the results.

 Do you read Music Magazines?

This shows that pop, R&B & dance are the most popular genres of magazine and I shall take this into consideration when I am constructing my music magazine.

This shows that people are reluctant to buy magazines because they aren't interesting enough  or that they are far too expensive.

What genre would you prefer to read?
This shows that the general demographic of those who read my music magazine are males 16 and under however the majority of these people say they wouldn't buy a magazine as only about 40% would buy one
